The twin flower agave does best in well drained soil with light shade to full sun exposure. It is hardy to the Phoenix area requiring little water. The dark green leaves are stiff and straight. The twin flower agave has a fast growth rate and a life cycle averaging ten years. This species of agave blooms yellow flowers with a hint of red at its end of life.
