Vines provide wind protection, reduce dust, sun glare, and reflected heat. They can also serve as a privacy screen while requiring little ground space. You can choose to grow your vine up a wall, pergola, or patio roof, stake it, or provide a trellis for the vine to climb. There are several desert acclimated flowering vines of brilliant colors.
