Description

Beets grow well in almost any climate.  In warm climates, like the low deserts of Arizona, beets grow during the cooler months.  Plant beets from the middle of September through the beginning of March.  They will grow best in well-draining, rich, loose soil.  If temperatures are warm, provide a deep layer of mulch to cool the soil.  Water regularly and harvest as soon as they are large enough to use.
