Crabgrass thrives in hot, damp areas. As it grows, it branches from the base and joints often root where the stems touch the soil. Pull before it sets seed. It is especially vigorous if the soil is compacted or low in fertility or if the lawn is over watered or sparse. Treat with MSMA.
