Description

Thevetia is a poisonous plant native throughout Mexico and Central America.  It is a relative of Nerium Oleander, giving it a common name yellow oleander.  It is called Lucky Nut in the West Indies.  It is a large evergreen shrub or small tree growing 12-20′ tall and 10-15′ wide.  Yellow Oleander loves the heat, but it can be susceptible to sun scald.  Use tree trunk paint to prevent this.  Clusters of yellow or apricot tubular flowers bloom during the warm season.
