Description
An herb used in ancient times for joint pain, earaches and indigestion. Rue is a hardy, evergreen shrubby plant with bluish-green leaves. It will grow almost anywhere, but thrives in partially sheltered, dry situations.
For cooking purposes, it is a French herb used to thicken soups, sauces, and gravies.
Rue is also a deterrent to cats, as they dislike the smell.
