Description

In the hot summers of Arizona, oregano does best in a sunny spot with some afternoon shade.  Mulching plants helps retain moisture during the heat of the summer.  Space oregano plants 8 inches apart in fertile, well drained soil.  Keep soil moist and water when the top becomes dry.  Oregano has a robust scent and flavor.  Its trailing growth also makes it a good seasonal ground cover.
